Biographical information:

Since school, I've been... 4 Years in the U.S. Navy, followed by some college, worked some construction in various states, then a full career with the IBM Corporation, retiring as a Telecommunications Analyst in Boulder, Colorado, in 1992. When I retired I was implementing high speed communications networks internally for IBM, and externally for IBM customers across the country. I helped put you on the Internet. Along the way I earned a Bachelor of Theology degree and Pastored 3 churches, one in Huntington, WV while working for IBM, and 2 others in Pennsylvania and Hawaii, after retirement from IBM. Now I plan on returning to WV some time soon to live on a farm I own just outside Huntington, WV.

My family: Married Constance McIntyre in 1964. Connie is from Sistersville, Tyler County, WV. We have a son, Ronald II, who is an Air Traffic Controller in Denver, CO, and a daughter, Betsy Ann, who works for Barnes and Nobel in Denver, CO. We have a grandson, Ronald III, who is 6 years old, and who is a tough cat to clean after. We recently had twins (boy/girl) grandchildren born on September 18, 2009. They are Ryan and Emma and both are doing great.

Life experiences: I have enjoyed all of life, including my time in the U.S. Navy and my various jobs, vocations, and life living around the United States. One of the highlights of my life has been the calling to the ministry, and serving as a Pastor to 3 churches.

My favorite things in school: I loved learning, but hated studying, so didnt really apply myself as much as I could have. But my favorite was hanging out with the people I went to LHS with, wherever we happened to be and whatever we happened to be doing.

My favorite things now: Still enjoy studying the Bible, preaching, reading, the Internet, traveling and friends.

My favorite books, movies and music: Anything written by Tom Clancey and made into a movie, all Clint Eastwood movies, especially his Dirty Harry and cop movies, anything patriotic, U.S. war movies, almost everything where the "good guys" win, good old Western movies, and certain personal classics that I can watch over and over again, such as The Cheyenne Social Club, Second Hand Lions, October Sky, Smoke Signals, and The Worlds Fastest Indian. I love Classical Music, Southern Gospel Music, 50s rock and roll, old Country Music before that Rock drumbeat ruined it, and Hawaiian Music. My favorite book is the Bible, but I enjoy reading a wide range of good books.
